The project’s business model work focuses on developing a farmer‑centric and financially sustainable CEADS ecosystem. The aim is to maximize value creation through the adoption of CEADS, ensure fair value‑sharing among ecosystem actors, and support long‑term economic viability. These questions are examined both at the level of individual use cases and at the broader ecosystem level.
Earlier this year, an in‑depth analysis of CEADS business models was completed in collaboration with project partners. The work reviews the current state of value creation across use cases based on interviews with use case leads, proposes a typology of business cases relevant for CEADS, and highlights key challenges related to business model design at both use‑case and ecosystem levels.
Building on these findings, the next phase of work focuses on developing more concrete business model proposals and identifying key industries and actors for different business model pathways. These proposals will be further discussed and validated with stakeholders in Workshops planned for October and November.
