Repository of Data Sharing Initiatives

Data Sharing Initiatives (DSIs) are the backbone of the Common European Agricultural Data Space (CEADS). They are existing regional, national, or sectoral platforms that enable trusted data sharing between farmers, companies, public authorities, and other actors in the agrifood ecosystem.

Within CEADS, DSIs play a key role in connecting local data ecosystems to a wider European federation. Rather than replacing existing initiatives, CEADS builds on their strengths by aligning them through common governance, interoperability standards, and trust mechanisms. This federated approach allows data to be shared across borders while respecting local contexts, existing business models, and data sovereignty.

On this page, you will find an overview of the Data Sharing Initiatives connected to or aligned with CEADS. Each DSI is presented through a short “passport” that highlights:

  • The country or region where it operates,
  • A short description of the data sharing initiative.
  • Links to its website and related use cases within CEADS.

Some DSIs manage data from multiple actors across a value chain, while others focus on specific domains such as farm management, sustainability, livestock, climate, or compliance with public policies. Together, they demonstrate the diversity of data sharing models that CEADS connects at European level.

This overview is intended to:

  • Give visibility to existing data sharing initiatives,
  • Help stakeholders discover relevant DSIs for their own context,
  • Illustrate how CEADS operates as a federation of initiatives, not a central platform.
