Data is an essential resource for economic growth, competitiveness, innovation, job creation and societal progress in general. The European strategy for data aims at creating a single market for data that will ensure Europe’s global competitiveness and data sovereignty. This will lead to the creation of Common European Data Spaces. They will ensure that more data becomes available for use in the economy and society, while keeping the companies and individuals who generate the data in control.
Within the strategy framework, CEADS – Common Agricultural Data Space aims to unlock the potential of data-driven value chains in agriculture. Our vision is a federated data space where public and private data fuels innovation in AI and Cloud-to-Edge computing, supporting the Green Deal and Digital Decade goals, fostering competitiveness, and ensuring data sovereignty for all actors in the agri-food ecosystem. CEADS provides secure and trusted environments for exchanging data with the consent of the data rights holder. The goal is to enable smoother data exchange between countries and between different sectors.
